- SCANNED VEHICLE. P0461 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR PERFORMANCE/RATIONALITY. THE FUEL GAUGE SHOWS ALMOST 1/2 A TANK. I CK SPARK. GOOD 30 KV SPARK. I CK FUEL PRESSURE, 0 PSI. I LIFTED THE VEHICLE AND CK POWER AND GROUND TO THE FUEL PUMP. THEY BOTH SHOW TO BE GOOD. I TAPED ON THE FUEL TANK AND IT SOUNDS EMPTY. MONITOR BCM DATA WITH SCANNER. I UNPLUGGED THE FUEL SENDER ASSEMBLY. THE VOLTAGE ON THE FUEL LEVEL WENT FROM 4 VOLTS TO 10.8 VOLTS. I GROUNDED THE DB/WH WIRE AND THE VOLTAGE WENT TO 0 VOLTS. I CK THE BK/DB FOR A GOOD GROUND. IT SHOWS TO BE GOOD. I USED THE SCANNER AND CK THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE FUEL GAUGE SHOWS TO BE OPERATING PROPERLY. THIS SHOWS THE FUEL SENDER IS BAD. I PUT 5 GALLONS OF FUEL IN THE VEHICLE. THE ENGINE STARTED AND RAN FOR ABOUT A MINUTE AND THEN DIED. THE ENGINE WILL NOT RE-START. I NOTICED MY FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE IS READING 0 psi AGAIN. REMOVE FUEL CAP TO LISTEN TO THE FUEL PUMP. I CANNOT HEAR THE FUEL PUMP RUNNING. RE-CHECK POWER & GROUNDS AT THE FUEL PUMP. POWER & GROUNDS STILL CK GOOD. THE FUEL PUMP NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

2018 Chevrolet Cruze

I CAN TURN THE ENGINE OVER BY HAND AND IT IS CLANKING IN THE BELL HOUSING. I REMOVED THE BATTERY. BOTH CABLES WAS LOSE. I REMOVED THE STARTER, IT HAS SOME OIL ON IT. ONE OF THE BELL HOUSING BOLTS IS MISSING AND ANOTHER HAD BACKED OUT. I TIGHTENED THE BOLT AND FOUND A BOLT FOR THE ONE MISSING. I CK THE TORQUE CONVERTER BOLTS AND THEY ARE LOSE. ONE OF THE THREE BOLTS WAS MISSING. I USED A VIDEO SCOPED AND LOOKED IN THE BELL HOUSING FOR THE OTHER BOLT. I DID NOT FIND IT. I CK THE FLYWHEEL FOR CRANKS. I DID NOT FIND ANY. I FOUND A TORQUE CONVERTER BOLT AND INSTALLED IT. I TIGHTENED THEM ALL UP AND PUT THE STARTER BACK ON. I STARTED THE ENGINE AND THE NOISE IS GONE. WHEN I WENT TO START THE ENGINE TO PULL IT IN THE SHOP THE ENGINE WAS VERY SLOW CRANKING. ***INSPECTION*** OIL STICKER SHOWS NOT DUE FOR SERVICE. OIL LIFE IS AT 51%. TIRES NEED ROTATED. BRAKE FLUID IS CLEAN AT THIS TIME. ALL 3 DRIVE BELTS LOOK GOOD AT THIS. HOSES LOOK GOOD AT THIS TIME. COOLANT NEEDS SERVICED. BATTERY HAS A SURFACE CHARGE OF 12.20 VOLTS. BATTERY TESTED BAD. 2016 Dodge Charger

Also there is a noticeable squeak coming from the rear. Rattle coming from the front end is the sway bar end link. The lower forward control arms or torque rods are beat out of the front end. Needs to have the sway bar end links and forward lower control arms replaced both sides. Squeak in the rear is due to rear brakes are due for pads and rotor Oil leak is coming from the oil filter housing assembly.

2017 Nissan Maxima
Mileage133,448Service Date1/15/2026Services Performed- Scanned vehicle P0430-Catalyst Efficiency bank 2 Definite smell of chemical burning coming from the exhaust. Remove upper intake to gain access to spark plugs. Remove all 6 spark plugs. Found carbon and chalking on the spark plugs indicating the burning of oil in the combustion chamber. Performed compression test. 1. 95 – BAD 2.170 -GOOD 3. 125 – BAD 4. 70 – BAD 5. 170 – GOOD 6. 185 – GOOD 3 of the 6 cylinders are bad. The engine will have to be replaced to correct the issue.

THERE IS A TAPPING NOISE IN THE ENGINE. I CAN HEAR IT AROUND CYL 2 AND 4. THERE IS A LITTLE COMING FROM BANK 1 ALSO. I CK THE OIL AND IT IS FULL AND CLEAN AT THIS TIME. I SCANNED VEHICLE. P0302 CYLINDER 2 MISFIRE. I REMOVED THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND CYL 2 COIL AND PLUG. I CK SPARK, IT IS A 30 KV AND LOOKS GOOD. I PUT THE SPARK PLUG IN A TESTER AND IT SHOWS TO BE GOOD. I CK COMPRESSION AND IT WAS 135 PSI. I DID THE SAME ON CYL 4 AND IT WAS 160 PSI. IT HAS 2 DIFFERENT BRANDS OF SPARK PLUGS. IT NEEDS A SET OF SPARK PLUGS. I NEED TO REMOVE THE VALVE COVERS AND CK CK THE CAMS AND ROCKERS. I REMOVED BOTH VALVE COVERS. I FOUND THE EXHAUST CAM ON BANK 2 AND THE INTAKE CAM ON BANK 1 TO BAD. THERE IS SEVERAL ROCKER ARMS THAT ARE BAD. THEY ALL NEED REPLACED AND THE LIGHTS ALSO.

2017 Ford F-150

P0430 Cat efficiency below threshold bank 2 P2005 intake Manifold runner control stuck open P2008 intake manifold runner control circuit open bank 1 With scan tool monitored the PID for the iMrc monitors for bank one and two. Bank 1 appears to operate correctly showing 1.38v at idle. Bank 2 seems a little low at 1.14v but within spec. With the scan tool commanded the iMrc solenoids to activate. Bank 1 ranges 1.38v open and 3.78 activated. Back 2 however seats at 1.16v when activated. Need permission to remove I take to diagnose mechanical failure or electrical failure. Removed intake manifold from engine to gain access to the vacuum solenoids. Position sensors. Checked for mechanical movement and both banks move freely with some spring resistance. Checked for solenoid continuity. Bank 1 control circuit shows an open and the bank 2 inch s the side not moving. Quite possibly the connector for bank 1 and 2 actuators got switched. Recommend replacing both solenoids.
