- CEL IS ON P0171 FUEL SYSTEM TOO LEAN. Removed the o2 sensor to see if it was covered in soot from running lean and the exhaust commanding full fuel causing fowling on the AFR sensor. No soot found. Sprayed down I take manifold while running and watching the pids for the air fuel ratio. Air fuel ratio didn’t change. Checked all air inlets and vacuum lines. No leaks found. Removed the air filter. The air filter is full of dust recommend replacing. Removed air inlet boot and cleaned the throttle body.. cleared codes and drove vehicle until the o2 sensor readiness was complete no codes returned. Recommend replacing air filter and cleaning mass air flow sensor. No further failures found.
- FLUSH FUEL INJECTORS WITH BG FI CHEMICAL. INSTALL BG 44K INTO FUEL TANK TO CLEAN FUEL TANK & LINES.
