    • Scanned vehicle P0430-Catalyst Efficiency bank 2 Definite smell of chemical burning coming from the exhaust. Remove upper intake to gain access to spark plugs. Remove all 6 spark plugs. Found carbon and chalking on the spark plugs indicating the burning of oil in the combustion chamber. Performed compression test. 1. 95 – BAD 2.170 -GOOD 3. 125 – BAD 4. 70 – BAD 5. 170 – GOOD 6. 185 – GOOD 3 of the 6 cylinders are bad. The engine will have to be replaced to correct the issue.
    • ENGINE COMPRESSION – Testing – [NOTE: Add 0.2 for wet compression retest.]

    • TEST DROVE VEHICLE. THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS ON ACCELERATION. I SCANNED VEHICLE. P0776 OIL PRESSURE SOLENOID B. I PULLED THE DRAIN PLUG ON THE TRANSMISSION AND CK THE FLUID. IT IS DARK AND IS BURNED. THE TRANSMISSION IS BAD.

P015B 02 SENSOR DELAYED RESPONSE – LEAN TO RICH BANK 1 SENSOR, P015A 02 SENSOR DELAYED RESPONSE – RICH TO LEAN BANK 1 SENSOR 1, P014D 02 SENSOR SLOW RESPONSE – LEAN TO RICH BANK 1 SENSOR 1, P014C 02 SENSOR SLOW RESPONSE – RICH TO LEAN BANK 1 SENSOR 1, P0300 MULTIPLE CYLINDER MISFIRE. I CK THE ENGINE OIL. IT IS LOW AND DARK AT THIS TIME. I LOOKED AT THE OIL STICKER AND IT SHOWS THAT OIL SERVICE IS DUE. IT IS PAST DUE 399 MILES. I PUT 4 OZ UV DIE IN THE ENGINE OIL AND LET IT GET UP TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE. I BLACK LIGHTED THE ENGINE. THE VALVE COVER GASKET IS ALL THAT SHOWS TO BE LEAKING AT THIS TIME. I REMOVED ALL 4 SPARK PLUGS AND CK THEM TO SEE IF IT IS BURNING OIL, THEY ARE NOT. I CK THE GAP AND IT WAS 0.045 IN. SPEC IS 0.043 IN. IT IS DUE FOR A TUNE UP. I LOOKED AT TSB AND THERE IS A TSB NTB16 – 117B FOR REPROGRAMING THE PCM. I CLEARED CODES. I TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND P0171 FUEL INJECTOR LEAN SYSTEM B1. NORMAL INSPECTION: OIL, NEEDS SERVICED TIRES, NEED ROTATED BRAKE FLUID, CLEAN POWER STEERING FLUID, CLEAN DRIVE BELT, GOOD HOSES, GOOD COOLANT, GOOD TO -60 DEG BATTERY: SURFACE CHARGE 12.66 V GOOD, 568 CCA ON 640 CCA BATTERY BATTERY CABLES DIRTY, NEED SERVICED.
    • VALVE COVER GASKET – Remove & Replace – In-Line4
    • SPARK PLUGS – Remove & Replace – In-Line4
    • CLEAN THROTTLE BODY
